Walt Disney World Top Attractions: According to 13 year old Alex

I asked my 13 year old son Alex if he would make a list of what he thought were the Top Attractions at Walt Disney World.  He decided to make his list of one from each of the different areas to visit at Walt Disney World.  Good idea!   He’s a Disney junkie just like his mom and has visited the Walt Disney World Resort at least 17 times that I can think of.   I’m sure it’s more.   And that’s how many trips we have taken, not how many times he has been there.   Our family has vacationed at the WDW Resort from every length from long weekends,  full weeks and even one trip that lasted for three weeks!   I can’t even tell you how many times we have actually walked into the different parks.  But it’s a lot!                  So, here you go.

Alex’s Top Attractions From Across the Walt Disney World Resort:

  • Hollywood Studios:  Star-Tours – This ride is newly refurbished and it’s now in 3D and almost every time you ride it, it’s different, with having over 50 combinations of what will happen.
  • EPCOT:  Soarin’ – An amazing simulator that makes you feel like your flying high over California in a hang glider and it ends in Disneyland.
  • Animal Kingdom:  Expedition Everest – A high speed roller coaster that takes you into the Himmilayas and puts you face to face with the fearsome Yeti. It’s awesome esoecially when it sends you flying backwards. It may be scary for children even if you are tall enough to ride.
  • Magic Kingdom:  Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin – A slow moving ride where you can battle the evil emperor Zurg in your own space cruiser with a laser blaster and a joy stick that can spin you around.
  • Downtown Disney:  Characters in Flight – A hot air balloon that takes you up 400 feet in the air so you can see off all of the Walt Disney World Resort. It’s easily visible outside of the Disney property too.
  • Blizzard Beach:  Summit Plummet – a 120 foot drop straight down in a free falling body slide. *Caution* Be prepared for a major wedgie
  • Typhoon Lagoon:  Crushin’ n’ Gusher – an  intense water coaster that sends you everywhere as it climbs up hils & drops you down.
  • EPCOT Resort Area:  Beach Club Resort:  Beaches & Cream Soda Shop – The Kitchen Sink dessert! Eight scoops of ice ceam & all the toppings they have and covered with a whole can of whipped cream! YUM!
