Have you tried Ore-Ida’s Sweet Potato Fries? . #OreIdaFries

I’ve heard about the new Ore-Ida Sweet Potato Fries by Heinz and when Collective Bias had an opportunity to check them out, I jumped at the chance.  My family loves sweet potatoes, and fries, so I was certain this was going to be a hit at our house.  So I brought a few of my kids and off we went to Sam’s Club. I love how big Sam’s Club is and I love the variety of products they have.

Having a big family means we need bigger packages of food than what the regular grocery store has and Sam’s is just the place to find it.  Today I went shopping for what we are having for dinner and sweet potato fries to go with it.

I picked up a roasted chicken, salad, fruit, milk and dessert.     IMG_4964

IMG_4986     I Baked the #OreIdaFries at 400 degrees for 22-28 minutes,

and for a yummy dip to go with the Ore-Ida Sweet Potato Fries I picked up a packet of Chipotle Chile Gormet Dip Mix.

I didn’t want to make a huge amount of dip for dinner so I just did half of the recipe. I used 1 cup of lite sour cream and about 1/4 cup of mayonnaise for a richer flavor. I then covered the dip and put it in the fridge for 45 minutes.

The longer the dip chills, the better the flavors will be, but I had limited time before dinner was finished and on the table.   Finally we are ready to sit down to dinner.   YUM!   It turned out fabulous!   The sweet potato fries really don’t need a dip as they are very flavorful and sweet just how they are hot out of the oven.     But mmmmmm, the spicy Chipotle Chile Dip gives the sweet potatoes a little kick.

Our dinner tonight was awesome, I must say.   Everyone loved the sweet potato fries, 2 of my kids liked the sweet potato fries plain and 2 of my kids and me, loved it with the dip.   It really went well with the roasted chicken, corn, salad and fruit we had for dinner too.

After dinner my son asked if we can have hamburgers on the grill tomorrow night.

Why?  I asked him,

“So we can have Sweet Potato Fries again!”

Funny kid

But good idea, because now I don’t have to think what I’m making for dinner tomorrow.  WooHoo!

This project has been compensated as part of a  #OreIdaFries shopping mission for Heinz with #CollectiveBias”  However all thoughts and opinions are my own.
